Lehigh Valley / Buxmont FCA

Wanda and I are excited – and somewhat anxious too (!) – as we share the latest update on our journey in life and ministry.

I am currently in my  5th year of serving as youth and young adult pastor at Penn Valley Church in Telford.  It has been an incredible and life-changing journey!  Wanda and I have learned so much about loving and serving Jesus, discipling, loving and serving others, and the value of partnering with the local church over these past 5 years. After much thought, prayer, and now planning, we sense that God is directing us back to FCA in order to serve Him and others in a full-time capacity as an Area Representative in this region for FCA.  God is good and He is at work in bringing coaches and athletes to a saving knowledge of Jesus!   He continues to lead me into friendships with young men who need Jesus and may not know Him as Savior.  We simply can’t ignore this invitation and opportunity.  We are blessed to share in this work and sense that now is the time to explore serving in a full-time capacity to go even deeper in these relationships and point others to Jesus.  As we press into this goal of reaching full-time status with FCA, we will do our best to make this transition a smoothe and effective one for our church family (youth/young adult ministry teams).  This will truly be an exciting time both for the church – as God provides new leadership for the youth and young adults and for our family as we see God open the door to serve Him with FCA in a full-time capacity.

As many of you know, it takes a small army (team) to come together to make full-time ministry happen with FCA – a non-profit/missions-oriented ministry.  We know God is up to the task and HE IS ABLE.  But we also know that He can – and does – work through friends and family like you to be His hands and feet for this particular assignment.  Our goal is to raise $7,000 in monthly support.  We are excited to take a creative approach to reaching this goal by launching the “61×61 Team FCA Campaign.”  As I turn 61 in February, our desire is to see God provide a brand-new donor team of (at least) 61 new teammates who are willing to join our monthly donor support team.   As you read this, would you prayerfully consider joining this team!  We value your friendship, your prayers, and your financial support as you join ranks with us in going into schools, weight rooms, onto fields, etc. to reach the lost and strengthen the faith of every individual God places in our path.  We thank you in advance for simply considering being a part of this venture and for walking with us in life to some extent.  If you have any questions or would simply enjoy connecting on a more personal level to get caught up and to share, please don’t hesitate to call!  We would love to do that with you!
